I am a camera bag addict. I have tons because I’m always seeking the right one for the right occasion. Being that I travel a lot to on-location and for speaking engagements around the United States so I need a bag that can carry my laptop, camera body, lenses, chargers, books, pens, business cards, etc. This is the perfect depth bag with the perfect amount of pockets. I carry a lot of extras that I need to have stored away and not jumbled at the bottom of the bag. That has been a big issue with many bags I’ve owned- lack of pockets and depth – I like to be able to lay my jacket/sweater on top of the items in there for when I am traveling. With smaller bags I had to carry – which is difficult when navigating through airports or while trying to handle on-location reflectors, etc.
Another great thing I love about the Heirloom is that it has so many different straps this can also be a backpack – I have the option of on the arm, on the shoulder, and on the back. Versatility is the second element I look for with bags – I can definitely see myself taking
Aesthetically its cute, well made and quality materials for a professional presentation to clients. Functionally it has all of the strap options and the interior adjustment of dividers for my various size lenses and accessories.
The only drawback that I have on this is that the interior has a white/black striped fabric, that I love for looks, but I’m afraid it will get stained. However I’ve been carrying it for over a month with no issues – not even a pen mark on it!
This is great as a camera bag and for other uses as well- I’ve been using it as a work bag without camera equipment by taking out the dividers for some client meetings.
