Are digital contracts legal?
The E-Sign Act (15 U.S.C. 7001) legalized electronic signatures in the United States and allows you to send digital contracts to your photography clients for them to sign electronically. Keep in mind that in order to meet the elements of a contract (offer, acceptance, and consideration), the terms must be clearly stated in the contract for the client’s understanding. Utilizing digital photography contracts will save you a lot of time and make your photography business more efficient.
